Overnight Oats
My sister made this for me today and it was the first time I actually enjoyed eating oatmeal. Normally I hate how gooey and sticky cooked oatmeal gets, so this raw and delicious version was a refreshing change.
1/3 c. rolled oats
1 tbsp chia seeds
1-1.5 c. almond milk
Directions:
- Throw everything together, and let sit overnight.
- And…that’s it! Top with whatever your heart desires
The oats get soft from the liquid, with none of the gooeyness of being cooked. There are other variations using yogurt and other types of milk, but I’m a big fan of this one. It’s topped with frozen berries and a dash of honey for sweetening.
